The chair for the main auditorium needed to meet the highest acoustic standards, in line with the design created by engineer Albert Xu, who has been working with Ricardo Bofill for over 30 years. Xu’s work involves taking measurements and carrying out a range of tests to achieve the best possible acoustics for each type of music. The chair also had to be an integral part of the auditorium’s decor, lending distinction to the space without compromising on comfort.
