The architectural firm Foster & Partners, working together with the Figueras Design Centre, came up with a seat designed especially for this project.
The seat has a number of characteristics that make it unique:
-An adjustable mechanism inserted in the pedestal of each seat facilitates levelling on the curved floor surface.
-The seat's central pedestal was used as a means of overcoming the visibility challenge and as a component of the heating-cooling system.
-The wood and other materials used meet the acoustic requirements of the hall and ensure that the same sound reverberation is maintained whether seats are occupied or empty.
