La Maison de la Culture de Namur

Three outstanding halls, one integral solution.

Architects

Description

First of its kind in Belgium, La Maison de la Culture de la Province de Namur, now named Le Delta, was recently renovated by Architect Philippe Samyn and Associates.

A bright and warm building was reborn showing its beautiful woodwork, curved design and varied volumes. Its privileged location at the confluence of the Sambre and Meuse rivers at the foot of the Citadel, invites people to meet, interact and enjoy culture in a natural and free-spirited way.

Working closely with the architect, Figueras equipped the three main halls with an integral solution, where the use of materials, the selection of finishes and the design adjustments, gave a unifying style and image for the whole project.

For the main hall, Grande Salle, the Mutarail Seating Solution with the Minispace 5071 seat was chosen to be the main product solution along with fixed seating. This seat stands out for being both elegant and compact, allowing to maximize the capacity of the room while taking into account the design and beauty of the space. Thanks to the Mutarail System it is possible to empty the hall in minutes by moving the seat beams underneath the stage, multiplying the uses of the same space.

Tambour and Mediator, the two rooms next to the main hall, were also provided by Figueras with three different products: Minispace 5071 FIX combined with Delta 430 chairs in the first, and Oxymore 400 chairs in the second one.

Our design and engineering team was key to the success of this project by keeping, in all three halls, the same aesthetics with an integral solution combining four of our product solutions.
